How it happened:

The Golden Eagles took a quick match lead with a 25-19 win in set one, hitting .393 as a team. Meyer recorded four kills on seven attempts, with Foglia and Anderson adding three kills apiece

St. Joseph's held a slight 16-15 lead in set two, but a 9-4 run in favor of the hosts led to a 25-18 win.

SJLI trailed through the majority of the third frame. Down 20-17, four unanswered points put the Golden Eagles ahead 21-20. The Valiants tied it up at 21 and again at 23, but a kill from Kropp and a Manhattanville setting error led to a 25-23 win
