The St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) men's volleyball team completed a perfect Skyline Conference schedule and finished with a program-record 18 wins with a sweep at SUNY Old Westbury on Wednesday night.

Top Performers:

• Junior Luke MacPherson collected a team-high 11 digs and tied a match-high nine digs while finishing with a .500 hitting percentage 

• Graduate student Tyler Anderson and senior Logan Meyer also added nine kills apiece

• Setter Will Kropp tossed 29 assists, with Dominic Ruggiero recording 11

• Torrence Fredericks and Liam Eisel of Old Westbury finished with a team-best seven kills

How it happened:

• The Golden Eagles took a quick match lead with a 25-11 win in set one, hitting .395 as a team. Anderson led with six kills, and MacPherson added five

• St. Joseph's jumped out to a 14-1 lead in set two and held the Panthers to single digits with a 25-7 win. Meyer finished with six kills, and MacPherson was successful on four out of five attempts

• The final frame was played closely, seeing 10 tied scores and three lead changes. Old Westbury was ahead 21-20, but back-to-back points went in favor of the Golden Eagles, putting the guests ahead 22-21. A kill from OW's Fredericks knotted the score at 22, but St. Joseph's claimed the next three points for a 25-22 win. Cole Violi led SJLI with six kills with Adam Bender pitching in with four

• As a team, St. Joseph's (L.I.) hit .423 while holding Old Westbury to .112

• The Golden Eagles collected 56 digs and put up six total blocks. The Panthers finished with 32 digs and three total blocks

St. Joseph's enters the Skyline Conference Championship Tournament as the #1 seed, earning a bye in the first round. The Golden Eagles will host a semifinal match in the Danzi Center on Thursday, April 10th.
