  • Neither team would score a run until the sixth inning, when the Golden Eagles scored a run on a fielding error to bring the score within one
  • SJLI rallied in the inning when Bove hit a single to center field that saw two runs come home and allowed St. Joseph's to take the lead and secure a game one victory

Game two: SJLI 3, Old Westbury 8

Key Players:

How it happened:

  • The Golden Eagles took an early lead in the top of the second when two runs scored on a fielding error by the first baseman, setting up Lysogorski hit an RBI-single to the pitcher that brought home Salvatto
  • Old Westbury tied the game in the bottom half of the same inning on a two-RBI double to left center field and a RBI-single to left center field again as the game was tied at three at the end of the second inning
  • The Panthers broke the stalemate in the bottom of the third as a sacrifice fly allowed one run to score with bases loaded
  • It was again Old Westbury who would bring home runs in the fourth inning, securing two runs scored on three hits in the inning, to take a 6-3 advantage
  • The Panthers added one run scored in the fifth and sixth inning to secure a game two victory over SJLI
