Senior John Lynch became SJLI's All-Time hits leader with his 156th career hit as the St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) baseball team suffered a Skyline Conference sweep at the hands of Mt. St. Mary College on Wednesday afternoon. The Knights came back for a 6-5 win in the seventh inning of game one before finishing the day with a 19-7 win in game two.

How it happened:

The Golden Eagles scored in the top of the second when Mike DiFilippo drew a bases loaded walk, scoring Thatcher, who singled to start the inning

St. Joseph's added to their lead in the top of the third. Lynch doubled and was followed by a single from Thatcher. A couple of MSMC errors led to two runs before a sac fly by Maggio capped the scoring with SJLI ahead 4-0

Mary's got two runs back in the bottom half of the inning, cutting their deficit in half, 4-2

Jordan Ramlogan led off the top of the fourth with a base hit and came around to score a couple of batters later, 5-2

A walk started the bottom of the seventh, prompting SJLI to go to their pen with Morabito. A double and a single followed, producing the inning's first run, 5-3. A walk loaded the bases, but Morabito got Christian Parisa out swinging for the first out, but a double from Tyler Van De Bogart knocked in two runs, and the Knights took game one in walk-off fashion, 6-5

How it happened:

After pushing a run across in the first, the Knights batted around for eight runs in the second, 9-0

St. Joseph's got two back in the third with some RBIs from Lucas Quinlan and Dom Lafroscia, 9-2

The Golden Eagles inched closer with a pair of runs in the top of the fourth. Paul McNally doubled and came in to score on a sac fly by Rob Page. DiFilippo singled in Jake Hall, who was hit by a pitch earlier in the inning, 9-4

Mt. St. Mary sent 14 Knights to the plate in the bottom half of the fourth, scoring 10 runs on eight hits, 19-4

Lafroscia doubled to start the fifth before Lynch singled to right, breaking the SJLI hits record and putting runners on the corners. A sac fly scored Lafroscia, and an RBI single from Masino plated Lynch, moving the score to 19-6

The Golden Eagles added a run in the sixth, moving the score to its final 19-7
