How it happened:
-
SJLI's starter, Jack Kelly and Farmingdale's starter, Johnny Dougherty, were locked in a pitcher's duel, putting zeros up on the board through the first three innings. After leaving the bases loaded in the bottom of the third, the Golden Eagles broke through with a run in the fourth. Ramlogan drilled a one-out double down the left field line and advanced third on a wild pitch. Gullo knocked his second single of the day into right, bringing Ramlogan home, 1-0
-
St. Joseph's threatened in the bottom of the eighth, Anselmo Joya was hit by a pitch with two outs, and was pushed up 90 feet by a single to left by Ramlogan. James Maggio reached on a dropped third strike, loading the bases for Gullo, who flew out short
-
The Rams finally got to Kelly in the top of the ninth when Aiden Mehmel drew a leadoff walk and Richie Heyder saw the only mistake from Kelly and sent it just over the left field fence, 2-1
Notes:
