Result

The St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) men's soccer team falls to New Paltz on the road in a non-conference competition on Saturday afternoon.

Top Performers

  • Freshman Dean Burchard made his collegiate debut with 15 saves while playing the full 90 minutes.
  • Sophomore Jack Pulisic led the Golden Eagles recorded three shots, two of the which were on goal.

How It Happened

  • New Paltz started off quick offensively, but the Golden Eagles held a strong defense. After seven shits taken by the Hawks, Bochenski scored the first goal for New Paltz in the 34th minute.
  • The ongoing shots by the Hawks were denied by goalkeeper Dean Burchard, recording five saves in the first half.
  • In the second half, New Paltz scored three more goal, with the last two of them being back to back goals.
  • St. Joseph's totaled eight shots, three were on goal, but were unable to break through, with the Hawk's keeper Matt Katz stopping all three attempts.

  • Jack Pulisic contributed two shots on goal and Jeremy Salazar tallied one shot on goal for St. Joseph's.
  • The Hawks led in shots 30-8, 19-3 were on goal.
