The St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) women's soccer dominates over conference opponent St. Joseph's-BK on Saturday afternoon at the Aviator Sports and Events Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Top Performers

  • Bella Sweet – Scored two goals for the Golden Eagles and three shots, which all were on goal.
  • Jocelyn Forseth – Led St. Joseph's- L.I. with eight shots, seven of which were on goal.

How It Happened

  • St. Joseph's- L.I. kicked off the playing field with Forseth scoring the first goal at 3:53. Three seconds later senior Jenna Ruffini scored the second goal of the game.
  • The Golden Eagles ended the first half with 42 shots, four of them which were goals.
  • St. Joseph's- L.I. continued the dominance on offense with five more goals, ending the game with a 9-0 win.

Notes

  • Seven different Golden Eagles scored on goal, while Sweet scored two.
  • The Golden Eagles led in shots 64-1, 46-6 on goal.
  • SJLI also led in corner kicks with 17-2.
  • In the second half, freshman goalkeeper Montanna Nemeth checked in for the Golden Eagles for her collegiate debut.
  • SJBK's goalkeeper Dominguez recorded 37 saves in the full 90 minutes.
