The St. Joseph's University-New York (L.I.) women's volleyball team opened the 2025 season with a five-set win over Hunter College on Thursday evening inside the Danzi Center Gym.

How it Happened
- The Golden Eagles opened strong, taking the first set 25-20 before dominating the second frame, 25-9, behind a balanced offensive attack and aggressive serving.
- Hunter fought back to claim the third and fourth sets, forcing a deciding fifth.
- In the final frame, St. Joseph's jumped ahead 8-5 at the side change and stretched its lead to as many as six behind timely kills from Tsororos and Nina Vanderhoof. The Golden Eagles closed the match on a Vanderhoof finish to seal a 15-9 victory.
