  • SUNY Maritime answered with a mid-half run, using transition offense and three-point shooting to briefly take the lead. Kenny Rodriguez steadied the offense and limited the damage.
  • Hawkins hit timely three-pointers and AJ Esposito controlled the paint late, grabbing key rebounds and converting at the foul line which helped SJLI regain the lead with under six minutes to play.
  • The defense tightened in the final minutes, forcing turnovers and contested shots. Rodriguez and Matthew Maxwell applied pressure in the backcourt.
