How It Happened
- St. Joseph's (L.I.) started the quarter with two points from Dellaporta. St. Joseph's (B.K.) answered right back and went on a seven point scoring lead.
- Points from Barone and Rebecca Vitale closed the gap, but the Bears went on another run to extend their lead 24-10 at the end of the quarter..
- The Golden Eagles began to settle in defensively in the second, forcing turnovers and limiting second-chance looks.
- Norah Williams sparked the comeback with strong interior play, while Barone and Eichner added key three-point baskets to cut into the deficit.
- SJLI closed the half on a strong stretch, outscoring SJBK 23–13 in the second quarter to trail just 37–33 at the break.
