How It Happened
- Purchase opened the game by scoring the first two points. Isabelle Lebron answered back with a three-pointer to start the six point scoring lead for the Golden Eagles.
- St. Joseph's held the Panthers to only scoring nine points, with Andreacchi, Eichner, and Larbi contributing key baskets.
- A layup from Dellaporta at the end of the first secured the 11-9 lead for SJLI.
- A three-pointer from Eichner and free throws from Barone and Dellaporta helped anchor the offense through the second quarter.
- The Golden Eagles continued to control the tempo in the quarter, keeping the scoring low for the visitors, carrying a 21–16 advantage into halftime.
- Purchase came out of the locker room with momentum in the third quarter, as the game featured several lead changes.
- Andreacchi provided a key lift off the bench, helping St. Joseph's stay even as the score was tied at 38–38 heading into the fourth.
