How It Happened

  • St. Joseph's opened the game with points from Barone and Larbi to spark a 6-0 lead.
  • Isabelle Lebron and Addison Dellaporta added to the lead and the Golden Eagles showed strong defensive pressure, forcing early turnovers to limit Manhattanville to just six points in the first quarter.
  • In the second quarter, the Valiants found their way to the free throw line to lessen the gap.
  • Andreacchi and Barone combined for key baskets inside, helping the Golden Eagles carry a 20–15 advantage into halftime.
  • St. Joseph's came back to open the third quarter with an impressive nine point run.
  • Vitale knocked down timely shots from beyond the arc, while Eichner attacked the lane to keep the offense flowing.
  • The Golden Eagles outscored Manhattanville 18–10 in the third, pushing the lead to double digits and taking a 38–25 lead into the final period.
  • The Valiants looked to make a push in the fourth, but St. Joseph's remained composed and answered each run.
  • Larbi continued to control the paint on both ends, grabbing key rebounds and finishing through contact, while Barone delivered timely scoring to steady the offense.
  • Strong team defense and the slowdown of comeback attempts from the visitors allowed the Golden Eagles to protect the lead down the stretch.
