How It Happened

  • Merchant Marine jumped out to an early advantage, opening the game on a 23–7 first-quarter run.
  • St. Joseph's struggled to find an offensive rhythm in the opening half, shooting just 3-for-25 from the field over the first two quarters as the Mariners carried a 34–10 lead into halftime.
  • Isabelle LeBron and Madelyn Barone accounted for the majority of the first-half scoring for the Golden Eagles, combining for nine points before the break.
  • The Golden Eagles showed renewed energy coming out of halftime, as LeBron connected on a three-pointer and Chantelle Larbi finished inside to open the third quarter.
