How It Happened
- Manhattanville opened the game with an early edge, but St. Joseph's stayed close behind a three-pointer from Kallie Eichner
- Another three-pointer from Isabelle Lebron would help the Golden Eagles tie the score at 8–8 late in the first quarter.
- St. Joseph's responded in the second quarter with strong inside play from Chantelle Larbi and Norah Williams, keeping the score close together.
- Lebron connected on her second three of the half as SJLI to tie the game 19-19 going into halftime.
- In the third quarter, Manhattanville used a decisive surge to create separation, outscoring the Golden Eagles 24–13 in the period.
- Lebron and Larbi each scored in the third to keep SJLI within reach, but the Valiants answered with a series of transition baskets to take a 43–32 lead heading into the fourth.
