How It Happened

St. Joseph's started the game with a layup from Larbi, which was followed up by a jumper from Farmingdale to tie the score 2-2.

The Golden Eagles responded with an 8-0 burst, highlighted by Barone finishing in transition and Lebron converting at the rim to make it 10-4 midway through the first.

Andreacchi added a second-chance bucket and Barone scored again in the final seconds, helping SJLI close the quarter on a strong note and take a 15-5 lead.

Vitale opened up the second quarter by knocking down a three-pointer on the first possession. Barone followed with a triple of her own to stretch the lead to 21-5.

Barone continued to attack downhill, scoring twice more in the paint, while Addison Dellaporta converted an offensive rebound into points to extend the margin to 14.

SJLI shot 46 percent in the first half and carried a 29-17 advantage into the locker room.

The Golden Eagles broke the game open in the third quarter with a fastbreak layup from Barone and a three-pointer from Lebron sparked a 10-0 run that pushed the lead past 20.

Lebron added two free throws and Dellaporta connected from beyond the arc as SJLI outscored Farmingdale 18-6 in the frame, taking a 47-23 lead into the fourth.

Farmingdale found some rhythm late, but three-pointers from Lebron and Eichner, along with a mid-range jumper from Andreacchi, kept the Golden Eagles firmly in control and secured the conference win 57-41.
