Baseball Falls to Kean

The St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) baseball team fell in a non-conference matchup to Kean University, 10-3, at Gregg Alfano Field on Friday afternoon.

Key Players:

  • Connor Bunce totaled one hit, one run scored and one RBI
  • Joe Thatcher recorded two hits and one RBI
  • Owen Shortell and Alex Ciampi secured one hit and one run scored

How it happened:

  • Kean struck first with two runs in the top of the first inning, capitalizing on early opportunities to take a quick lead
  • The Cougars added single runs in the third and fifth innings to extend their advantage to 4-0
  • Kean exploded for six runs in the top of the seventh, breaking the game open with a big inning against SJLI pitching
