Game one: SJLI 14; Yeshiva 0
Key Players:
- Owen Shortell delivered a standout performance, going deep with a three-run home run to left center in the fifth inning, adding a run-scoring double earlier, and driving in multiple runs overall.
- Andrew Amarando contributed significantly with a run-scoring triple to right center in the fifth and an RBI single down the right-field line in the fourth.
- Joe Thatcher provided clutch hitting with a two-RBI single in the sixth and an earlier double.
- Frankie Asaro added an RBI sacrifice fly in the fifth.

How it happened:
- St. Joseph's broke through in the bottom of the fourth inning against starter David Cohen and reliever Chaim Stark. Jake Hall walked to lead off, then Owen Shortell doubled to right center to score him. Andrew Amarando followed with an RBI single down the right-field line, and Frankie Asaro added a single to set up further pressure, pushing the lead to 2-0.
- The Golden Eagles exploded for five runs in the fifth. Dom Crema doubled, Jake Hall was hit by a pitch, and Owen Shortell crushed a three-run homer to left center. Connor Bunce doubled, Andrew Amarando tripled to drive in another, and Frankie Asaro added a sacrifice fly RBI, making it 7-0.
- SJLI tacked on four more in the sixth against reliever Zachary Gross (and a brief appearance by Jonathan Greenberg). Jake Hall walked, Rocco Hall singled, and after advancing on a throw, Andrew Amarando and Frankie Asaro drew RBI walks. Joe Thatcher capped the frame with a two-RBI single to left, extending the advantage to 11-0.
- The Golden Eagles closed it out with three runs in the seventh, capitalizing on walks and timely hitting to reach the 14-0 final (run-rule shortened game implied by mercy rules common in such lopsided contests).
- Yeshiva's offense was held to just two hits (one each by RJ Hellman and Jake Arnow) with no runs, as St. Joseph's pitching staff dominated with strikeouts and groundouts/flyouts.
