Results:

The St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) men's volleyball team stayed undefeated in Skyline Conference play with a straight-set sweep of UMSV by scores of 25-22, 25-10, 25-17 on Tuesday evening.

Key Players:

AJ Esposito led the attack with 13 kills on an outstanding .611 hitting percentage and added three blocks
Declan Kerns contributed 10 kills, one service ace, and eight digs
Chris Sarnicola recorded five kills and matched a team-high eight digs while adding one service ace
Dominic Ruggiero orchestrated the offense with 38 assists and one block
Shaun Mischler added fou kills and one service ace

How it happened:

St. Joseph's got off to a strong start in the first set, using balanced hitting and timely blocks to build an early lead. Despite a late push from UMSV, the Golden Eagles closed out the set 25-22.
The second set was all SJLI. The Golden Eagles jumped out to a commanding advantage behind efficient attacking and strong serving, cruising to a dominant 25-10 victory.
In the third set, St. Joseph's maintained control from the opening points and never looked back. Consistent offense and solid defense allowed them to pull away and finish the match with a 25-17 win, completing the sweep.

St. Joseph's hit an impressive .341 as a team with 42 kills while holding UMSV to just .095 hitting.
