How it happened:

• St. Joseph's (L.I.) struck first in the top of the first plating one run on timely hitting to take an early 1-0 lead.
• The Golden Eagles exploded for 4 runs in the second inning, capitalizing on hits and opportunistic baserunning to build a commanding 5-0 advantage early.
• SJLI added 2 more in the third to push the lead to 7-0, with consistent contact and pressure on the Bears' pitching.
• St. Joseph's (Brooklyn) finally broke through in the fourth inning, scoring their two runs, but never seriously threatened due to strong pitching and defense (including an inning-ending double play).
• In the seventh, SJLI added insurance with one more run: Page pinch-hit and tripled to center, and Asaro followed with an RBI double to right center for the final 9-2 margin.
• Riley Morris closed out the bottom of the seventh, retiring the side despite loading the bases briefly on an error, HBP, and walk—stranding runners to seal the shutout bid (only 2 unearned runs allowed).

• Mike Roy started and pitched 4.1 innings, allowing four hits and two earned runs

• Alex Johnston provided three hits, on four appearances at the plate, with two runs batted in 
• Paul McNally added one hit, one run scored and two runs batted in
• Frankie Asaro totaled one hit, one run scored and one RBI

How it happened:

• St. Joseph's (L.I.) got on the board in the third inning with 1 run against starter Antonio Moran, cutting the deficit to just one run after falling behind two runs early 
• The Golden Eagles added another in the fourth to make it 2-2, maintaining pressure with consistent hitting.
• SJLI exploded for 4 runs in the fifth, capitalizing on hits, perhaps a triple, and opportunistic scoring to build a 6-2 advantage. Multiple batters contributed in the big frame.
• The Golden Eagles added to their lead in the sixth inning with a two-RBI triple to center field, followed by a Nick Gerardi sacrifice flyout that allowed an additional run to score
• The Bears responded in the eighth inning as they exploded for six runs to bring the game within one (9-8) but the Golden Eagles held on late to close out the inning and hold on for the sweep against the Skyline Conference rival
