New York, NY| The St. Joseph's University (L.I.) men's tennis team was selected to finish eight in this upcoming 2026 season, according to the Skyline Conference's preseason coaches poll released Thursday afternoon.
SJLI men's tennis received 22 points following a 1-12 overall finish in the 2025 season. Three-time defending Farmingdale State College was selected to repeat, receiving 63 points and seven first-place votes. USMMA was picked to finish second with 51 points and Mahattanville University rounding out the top three with 45 points and two first-place votes.
Entering his first season with the men's team, head coach Jimmy Delevante added two new Golden Eagles to the squad joining five returners including graduate student
Anthony Flaccomio, senior
Vincent Engel, junior
Nolan Knipfing, junior
Chris Lally, and sophomore
Tim Celone. This season, the team looks to improve off of last season and to build a new foundation.
Men's tennis opens up its 2026 season on Friday, March 20th when they host Baruch for a non-conference match at 4:30pm.
