Results:

St. Joseph's (L.I.) fell to Mount Saint Mary College, 3-12, in a matchup where defensive effort and draw control kept the Golden Eagles competitive early before MSMC pulled away in the second half. late Saturday afternoon.

  • 1st Quarter: Mount Saint Mary struck first and took a 2-0 lead before Ippolito scored late to make it 2-1 heading into the second.
  • 2nd Quarter: The Knights extended the lead to 4-1, but SJLI responded with a goal from Ippolito, assisted by Doyle, to keep the game close.
  • 3rd Quarter: Doyle's goal cut it to 4-3, but MSMC answered with a major scoring run to take control at 8-3
  • 4th Quarter: Mount Saint Mary dominated the final frame, adding four more goals to seal the 12-3 win.
