Top performers: Junior Caden Stubba led the Golden Eagles with three goals and one ground ball. Junior Najee Henderson collected one goal, one assist, and one ground ball Freshman Ryan Schildt totaled one goal, one assist, and five ground balls. Sophomore defender Zack Watson led defensively with three caused turnovers and two ground balls. Freshman goalkeeper John Marino tallied eight saves and six ground balls. How it happened: Mount Saint Mary's opened the game late in the first quarter and scored in the opening minute of the second quarter to put themselves in the lead 2-0. St. Joseph's netted two goals within two minutes of each other to tie the game, but the Knights scored quickly after to bounce back. At 3:21, Stubba scored to tie the game 3-3 going into halftime. Neither teams were able to find the back of the net in the third quarter, as score remains a tie game. Schildt and Stubba both scored in the beginning half of the fourth quarter as SJLI takes the first lead of the game 5-3. MSMC scored three goals, two of them which were in the final seconds of the game, to take the lead back and win the 6-5 conference matchup. Notes: The Golden Eagles held a 34-30 ground ball advantage. MSMC won 11 face offs compared to SJLI's four. Mount Saint Mary recorded 12 caused turnovers to St. Joseph's 10.
