Flag Football Takes Down SJBK and MSMC

Women's Flag Football Moves to 5-0, Climbs to #19 in National Composite Rankings

March 26, 2026 – Patchogue, N.Y.

Results:

The St. Joseph's University Long Island women's flag football team defeated St. Joseph's University Brooklyn, improving to 4-0 on the season.

How it happened:

  • The Golden Eagles got off to a fast start with Marchese connecting with Norah Williams on a 10-yard touchdown pass for the first score. Marchese then threw to Kallie Eichner from five yards out for the second touchdown.
  • Marchese continued her strong performance, hitting Caputo for a 22-yard touchdown. The Golden Eagles added a two-point conversion when Marchese found Norah Williams from 10 yards.
  • Caputo came up with a big interception on defense. Marchese later connected with Kallie Eichner for a 23-yard touchdown, followed by another two-point conversion to Norah Williams. Marchese capped her five-touchdown day with a long touchdown pass to Kallie Eichner.

The St. Joseph's University Long Island women's flag football team defeated Mt. St. Mary's on Saturday afternoon improving to 5-0 on the season and moving up to No. 19 in the Women's College Flag Football Composite Rankings.

Key Players:

How it happened:

  • St. Joseph's (L.I.) got off to a strong start as Marchese connected with Kallie Eichner on a 17-yard touchdown pass. Marchese later found Kallie again for a 35-yard touchdown. Marchese then added a two-point conversion on a run.
  • Caputo provided a huge defensive play with a pick-six interception return for a touchdown.
  • After halftime, Marchese hit Norah Williams for a 50-yard touchdown. Michalea Barresi capped a drive with a 1-yard rushing touchdown, and Ro Ruopoli added the extra point.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Thursday, April 2, when they host LIU starting at 6:30 pm.
