Patchogue, NY| Sophomore Frank Basile matched a career-high of 20 points as the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's basketball (2-2, 2-0 Skyline) team erased a halftime deficit to defeat Skyline Conference rival Sarah Lawrence, 80-67, inside the Danzi Center on Tuesday evening.

Basile, who was also credited with five rebounds and four assists, shot 8-for-10 from the field and 3-for-4 from three. The guard powered an SJC offense that shot 47.5% in the contest.

Senior Isaiah Moore (6-10 FG) chipped in with 15 points and a team-high seven rebounds, and fellow classman Trey Kinard registered 12 points in his best outing as a Golden Eagle.

Seniors Stephen Cohen and Mike Harris pitched in with eight points apiece off the bench.

After falling behind early, Basile's made layup with 1:53 to play in the first half gave SJC a 33-32 lead, but the Gryphons scored six of the half's final eight points and took a 38-35 lead into the break.

The Golden Eagles opened the second with a 16-4 run and pulled ahead 51-42 4:37 into the second half. Sarah Lawrence came as close as four points (51-47) but the hosts widened the gap and cruised to an 80-67 victory.

Overall, SJC was the better shooting team from the field (47.5%-43.6%) but was outshot (36.0%-30.4%) from beyond the arc. St. Joseph's held a slim margin in rebounds (35-34) and forced the Gryphons into 18 turnovers.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Thursday, November 30 when they host Connecticut College for a non-conference contest inside the Danzi Center at 7:30 pm. Watch/follow the action live here.
