New York, NY| Junior Kenny Rodriguez of the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's basketball team and sophomore Madelyn Barone of the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's basketball team were named to the All-Met Honorable Mention when the Met Basketball Writers Association released its 2026 end-of-season awards on Monday and Tuesday morning. 

Rodriguez led the team averaging 16.6 points on the season and 3.9 assists per game and top five in Skyline Conference in points and seventh in assists. The Woodside, NY native finished top 10 in the conference with 7.9 rebounds a game and was top five in the conference in free throw percentage and led the conference shooting 40.5% from three point range, averaging 2.0 three pointers a game. The guard was selected for the Skyline Conference All-Conference First-Team and was named Skyline Player of the Week once this season. He scored 20+ in nine games and reached double-digit scoring efforts in 22 of 25 games. Rodriguez had a double-double in nine different games.

Barone led the Golden Eagles this season, totaling 365 points, averaging 15.2 points per game, finishing seventh-place in the conference. The forward posted a top-five finish in the conference in free throw percentage at 77.0% and a top-10 finish in field goal percentage at 37.5%. The Farmingville, NY native recorded 132 rebounds (5.5 rpg), 46 assists (1.9 apg), 47 steals (1.9 spg), and 11 blocks (0.4 bpg), all good for top 20 finishes in the conference. This season, the sophomore had her career-best 26 points, on two separate occasions. She went on to score 20+ points in five different matchups and posted two double-doubles this season. She was named to the Skyline Conference All-Conference First-Team and Skyline Conference Weekly Honorable Mention three times this season
