NEW YORK | Senior Jenna Ruffini from women's soccer, junior Kenny Rodriguez from men's basketball, and junior AJ Esposito from men's volleyball were named the recipients of the Skyline Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year award for the 2025-26 academic year, announced by the conference office on Thursday afternoon.

Commissioner Melissa Reilly is proud to present the Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award to a student-athlete in each sport who earned first-team All-Skyline recognition and who carries the highest grade point average (minimum 3.30) for the semester in which the student-athlete competes.

"Our Scholar-Athletes of the Year exemplify the very best of what it means to be a Skyline Conference student-athlete," said Commissioner Melissa Reilly. "Their commitment to academic excellence, competitive success and leadership within their campus communities is truly commendable. We are proud to recognize these outstanding individuals for the dedication and discipline they have demonstrated both in the classroom and in their respective sports." 

Women's Soccer
Jenna Ruffini, Senior, 3.981 GPA
Ruffini appeared in 18 games across the season, recording one goal, one assist, six shots, and four shots on goal across 1406 minutes. She helped lead the Golden Eagles defensively to win the Skyline Conference Championship. The senior defender led a conference-best back line that held opposing teams to just 12 goals on the season, earning First Team All-Skyline honors.

Men's Basketball
Kenny Rodriguez, Junior, 3.223 GPA
Rodriguez started in every game and finished the season among conference leaders with a team-best 432 points, averaging 16.7 points per game while shooting 44 percent from the field. He reached double-digit scoring efforts in 22 of 25 games. The junior guard/forward earned First Team All-Skyline and All-Met Honorable Mention recognition. 

Men's Volleyball
AJ Esposito, Junior, 3.875 GPA
Esposito earned Player of the Year honors on the back of one of his most impressive seasons. He appeared in 44 sets across 16 matches and finished the season with 117 kills, 12 solo blocks, and 26 block assists, leading the team to their fifth straight Skyline Championship.
