Dobbs Ferry, NY| Head coach Jeff DiMarco of the St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) men's golf team landed the PGA of America-Metropolitan Section Player Development Award at the Ardsley Country Club on Thursday, November 14th.

The Player Development Award is designed to recognize a PGA Professional for extraordinary and exemplary contributions and achievements in the area of player development. This award considers the PGA Professional's growth of the game leadership commitment at the Section and National levels and the impact made at the facility.

"He really has a passion for the game and he cares about each player," stated Athletic Director Melody Cope. "He doesn't just care about their development on the golf course, he really caresÂ
about developing them as individuals and being successful in the classroom as well as life outside of golf."

"Jeff just gives so much energy and he just cares about the results of people," said VP of Golf Operations Pine Hills Country Club. "He takes each individual sees their talent sees what they're able to do and just makes them always feel special."

DiMarco has been the head coach at St. Joseph's since the start of the 2016 season following a 19-year stint at Dowling College. Additionally, he works and gives lessons at Pine Hills Golf and Country Club. DiMarco received his NYCC in '95 and was elected into the PGA of America in 2013. He holds certificates from various Golf Schools and is a member of the Golf Coaches of America.
