Men's Golf Secures Third on Friday

When and Where:

September 27, 2024 – Bethpage, NY / Bethpage State Park (Red)

Result:

The St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) men's golf finished third place in the Farmingdale State College Skyline Invitational on Friday.

Top performers:

Freshman Chase Zere led the Golden Eagles with a seventh-place finish, scoring 76 (+6) through 18
Junior Bailey Meyer recorded a final score of 79 (+9), taking 13th place
Sophomore Dominck Glatz ended the round scoring 82 (+12), suitable for 21st place

How it happened:

The Golden Eagles finished with a team score of 328 (+48), two strokes ahead of Yeshiva and Manhattanville, who tied for fourth place at 330 (+50)
The Rams took home first place at 300 (+20), with Mt. St. Mary's tallying a score of 314 (+34), good for second place
Old Westbury 333 (+53) captured sixth place, Purchase 341 (+61) secured seventh place, and Mt. St. Vincent 376 (+96) landed in eighth place

Junior Nick Gentile placed 37th with a score of 91 (+21)
Freshman Luke Doucet, who scored a 99 (+29), finished 40th
