How it happened:

-
After the Golden Eagles stranded a pair of runners in the top half of the third, the hosts had runners on second and third with no outs setting up a sac fly to right. A pair of singles followed extending Kean's lead to 4-0
-
The Cougars added a run in bottom of the fourth and fifth innings pushing the score to 6-0
-
An RBI single to right by Hilsheimer in the bottom of the seventh put the Cougars ahead 7-0Â
-
Back-to-back doubles with one out in the bottom of the eighth put Kean ahead 8-0Â
-
SJLI had some life in the bottom of the ninth when John Lynch and Joe Sanguedolce singled with two outs before Lettiere drew a walk to load the bases. Page followed up single down the right field line pushing two runs across
-
A batter later, Hackal blasted a triple in the right-center gap bringing in another two runs. A couple of pitches later the outfielder came into score on a passed ball before Kean's reliever Nolan Rowan got Jodan Ramlogan to ground out for the final out of the game
Notes:
-
Kean's Jason Gilman went six innings allowing just four hits while fanning 14 and picked up his first win of the season
