The Golden Eagles jumped out with an early lead scoring a run in the top of the first and second before a 2 RBI single from Dom Crema in the third moved the score to 4-0 in the third

The Bloodhounds plated their lone run of the game on an SJLI defensive miscue in the bottom half of the third

A two-RBI double from Lynch in the fourth followed by a three-run fifth put the Golden Eagles ahead 9-1

St. Joseph's added a run in the top of the six and RBIs from Joya and Thatcher in the seventh extended the lead, 12-1

Following a scoreless eighth, freshman Rob Page doubled in a run before Thatcher knocked in the final two runs with a triple in the left-center gap
