The St. Joseph's University (L.I.) baseball team extended their win streak to 16 and remain unbeaten in Skyline Conference play with a pair of wins against St. Joseph's University (Brooklyn) on Sunday afternoon. The Golden Eagles shut the Bears out 9-0 in game one before a 13-4 win in game two.

How it happened:

SJLI opened the scoring when back-to-back home runs by Lynch and Joya started the top of the second before a sac fly from James Maggio moved the score to 3-0

The Golden Eagles added three runs on three hits in the third doubling their lead, 6-0

Sac flies added a run in both the top of the fifth and six, 8-0, before Lynch's second solo shot of the day in the seventh capped the scoring, 9-0

How it happened:

The Golden Eagles scored first when Jordan Ramlogan was hit by a pitch and came around to score on a sac fly from Joe Thatcher

The Bears took a 3-1 lead when an SJLI defensive miscue led to three unearned runs in the bottom of the second

The top of the third saw the Golden Eagles take advantage of a Brooklyn error that led to three runs and regain the lead, 4-3

A two-RBI base hit to left from DiFillipo in the fifth widened the gap to 6-3

After they added a run in the seventh, the Golden Eagles batted around for four runs on three hits in the eighth, 10-3

SJBK pushed a run across in the bottom half of the eighth, but three more runs for the Golden Eagles in the ninth secured the 13-4 win
