Senior Robert Wagner tossed a complete-game to lead the top-seeded St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) baseball team to a 13-2 win in game five of the Skyline Conference Tournament on Saturday afternoon.

How it happened:

The Valiants scored first with a pair of runs in the bottom of the first. Jake Parisi singled with two outs and after stealing second was knocked in by a base hit to center by Marco Clara. A walk to Ryan Osso extended the inning for an RBI double by Greg TashikÂ

Thatcher started the top of the second with a double in the left-center gap. Northrop was hit by a pitch setting up an RBI single to center by freshman Rob Page. A fielder's choice later in the inning brought home Northrop to tie the game at 2.

The Golden Eagles batted around for five runs in the top of the fifth highlighted by two-RBI doubles by Northrop and Page for a 7-2 lead

A two-run top of the sixth for St. Joseph's extended their lead to 9-2

After a four-run top of the eighth put the Golden Eagles ahead 13-2, Wagner took care of the Valiants retiring six straight to finish the game
Next up, the Golden Eagles will take on the loser of game six between #2 USMMA and #4 Farmingdale in another elimination game 30 minutes after its conclusion.
