Men's Golf Competes with Old Westbury

September 20, 2024 – Bethpage, NY/ Bethpage Blue Course

Result:

The St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) men's golf team competed against Old Westbury, finishing one stroke behind the Panthers on Friday.

Top performers:

Freshman Chase Zere led the Golden Eagles finishing in second place with a score of 80 (+8)
Sophomore Dominick Glatz took eighth with a final total of 88 (+16)
Junior Nick Gentile and freshman Chris Fioto secured ninth and 10th place with scores of 92 (+20) and 93 (+21), respectively

How it happened:

The Golden Eagles recorded a team score of -214 just two strokes behind Old Westbury who tallied a score of -216

Notes:

Sophomore Michael Welton competed, taking 12th place with a score of 106 (+34)

The Golden Eagles return to action on Monday, September 23, when they travel to Pound Ridge, New York, to compete in the Purchase College Skyline Invitational at 1:00 pm.
