Sarah Montefusco (Sr.) - Women's Volleyball Libero of the Week
Montefusco anchored the Golden Eagles' back row in a 3-0 Skyline week, averaging 4.56 digs per set and totaling 41 digs, nine assists, and five service aces. The senior recorded 20 digs and two aces in Saturday's sweep of Mount Saint Vincent, following 10 digs, five assists, and three aces at Sarah Lawrence on Thursday. Montefusco's consistency in serve-receive and defense helped St. Joseph's-LI hold its opponents to sub-.100 hitting percentages across the week.
Lauren Goss (Jr.) - Women's Volleyball Player of the Week
Goss directed the Golden Eagles' offense to a perfect 3-0 Skyline week, all coming in straight-set victories. The junior setter averaged 11.00 assists, 2.89 digs, and 0.56 service aces per set while totaling 99 assists, 26 digs, five aces, and three block assists across the three matches. She handed out 37 assists with two aces and eight digs in Saturday's sweep of Mount Saint Vincent after registering 34 assists, 12 digs, and two aces at Sarah Lawrence on Thursday.Â
AvaGrace Monti (Sr.) - Women's Swimming Swimmer of the Week
Monti powered St. Joseph's–Long Island to its first team victory of the season, sweeping all three of her individual events in the Golden Eagles' meet. The junior took home wins in the 200-yard individual medley (2:22.97), 100-yard butterfly (1:05.81), and 100-yard breaststroke (1:14.36).Â
