How it happened:

• Flannery led off the game with a single to short, leading to Bove reaching first on an error on the Lakers; Bove would later score on a passed ball as SJLI ended the top of the first with a 2-0 lead
• As Oswego cut the deficit to just one in the bottom of the first, the Golden Eagles added to their lead in the fourth inning as Bove secured a lead-off double; Ruocchio drove in Bove on a single to right field before Sarah Murphy singled to center field that brought home Gabriella Vacchio
• A Ruocchio triple to right field in the seventh inning secured another Bove run scored, and Antonia Busa drove home Ruocchio later in the inning with a single to right field, making the score 8-1 in the top of the seventh
• The Lakers looked to mount a comeback in the final inning but only tallied two runs on just two hits
