Ramapo scored first with a run in the bottom of the third. That lead was erased when the Golden Eagles plated three in the top of the fifth. Maggio and Marco Gullo singled before Dom Crema was hit by a pitch to load the bases for Lynch, who knocked all three in for a 3-1 advantage

The Roadrunners quickly responded with four runs in the bottom half of the fifth to regain the lead, 5-3. An RBI double from Jesse Swartout knocked in Zack Baily and Dominick Ciani, who had singled and walked earlier in the inning. A, SJLI defensive miscue brought Matt Lalomia home before an RBI double from John Higgins capped the scoringÂ

Gullo knocked in two runs with a double to tie up 5-5 in the top of the sixth, but a three-RBI triple from Ramapo's Zach Novakowski in the bottom half of the inning put the hosts back ahead, 8-5
