-
Kean drew four walks in the bottom of the first and sacrifice fly from Cole McGourty for an early 2-0 lead
-
The Golden Eagles got a run back in the top of the second when Joya started the inning with a base hit through the right side and came in to score on a single up the middle by Maggio
-
SJLI evened the score at two in the top of the third when Lynch knocked in Hackal, who walked earlier in the inning
-
Hackal led off the top of the fifth with his third walk of the day and was followed up with a walk by Thatcher. Both runners moved into scoring position after a passed ball setting up a sac fly by Lynch for a 3-2 lead
-
St. Joseph's added to its lead with a pair of runs in the top of the sixth. DiFilippo started the inning with a base hit through the left side, and Ramlogan walked two batters later. Hackal reached on a Kean error to load the bases, and Lynch delivered a two out two-RBI single to right for a 5-2 advantage
-
The Cougars got two runs back in the bottom half of the sixth when Dominic Masino led off with a walk and came in to score on a triple from Kyle Adorno. Adorno was sent home on a sac fly by Matthew Del Sol, 5-4
-
In the seventh, Maggio singled to center with one out and moved up on a wild pitch. A hit to right by DiFilippo put runners on the corners where a fly ball to shallow right field off the bat of Rob Page was just deep enough for Maggio to dive into home before the throw, putting the Golden Eagles ahead 6-4
