Junior Jake Hall's RBI single to right walked off the St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) baseball team to a 7-6 non-conference win against William Paterson University at Gregg Alfano Field on Tuesday afternoon.

How it happened:

The Pioneers drew four walks to start the game with a 1-0 lead

In the bottom half of the first, Thatcher singled through the left side and was followed by Lynch's home run to center to put the Golden Eagles ahead, 2-1

SJLI doubled their score when Hall tripled in Thatcher and Mike DiFilippo on the bottom of the third, 4-1

WPU got two runs back in the top of the fourth before Eliot Germanson scampered home on a wild pitch in the fifth to tie the score at 5

The Golden Eagles produced two runs in the bottom of the fifth, but their lead was quickly erased with a two-out two-RBI single by WPU's S Dantos in the sixth

 The teams remained deadlocked at 6 until the bottom of the ninth when Lynch doubled in the right center gap and was lifted for pinch runner Jordan Ramlogan. The next batter, Hall, drove a single to right, allowing the speedy Ramlogan to score for the 7-6 win in walk-off fashion

SJLI's Josh Dannenberg was credited with the win, allowing just three hits with a pair of strikeouts in three innings of scoreless relief

William Paterson's Nick Durso entered the game in the ninth and suffered the loss, allowing one run on two hitsÂ
Next up, the Golden Eagles resume Skyline Conference play on Friday, April 18th when they host Farmingdale State College at 3:00 pm.
