New York, NY| Junior Kenny Rodriguez of the St. Joseph's University (L.I.) men's basketball team earned his first weekly honorable mention on Tuesday morning when he was included in the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association's Divisions II-III Weekly Honorable Mention.

After claiming Skyline Conference Player of the Week honors earlier on Monday, Rodriguez took home MBWA accolades for the first time of his career.

Rodriguez powered the Golden Eagles to a 1-1 week while averaging 26.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 2.5 steals, and 1.0 block per game. The junior shot an efficient 54.8 percent (17-of-31) from the field, 50.0 percent (6-of-12) from three-point range, and 85.7 percent (12-of-14) from the free-throw line across the two contests. He opened the week with a 25-point, 11-rebound double-double in a win over Maritime, adding five assists and three steals, before pouring in 27 points with seven rebounds and four assists in a tightly contested matchup against Farmingdale.
