Flag Football 2/5/2026 12:57:00 PM Julianna Knice Appointed Women's Flag Football Head Coach St. Joseph's University – Long Island Names Julianna Knice Head Flag Football Coach Patchogue, NY — St. Joseph's University, New York – Long Island Director of Athletics Melody Cope has announced the hiring of Julianna Knice as the new head coach for the Golden Eagles' flag football program. Knice joins the Golden Eagles after an impressive collegiate career at St. Joseph's University Long Island, where she served as a captain of the women's basketball team. During her tenure, the guard totaled 665 points, 445 rebounds, 145 steals, and 14 blocks across 97 games played. The Deer Park, NY native also holds the assist record for St. Joseph's University (L.I.) with 335 career assists. "We are excited to welcome Julianna Knice as our new head flag football coach," said Cope. "Julianna's experience with the sport, combined with her energy and commitment to working with student-athletes, make her an excellent fit for our flag football program. We are eager to see the positive impact she will have on our team and the continued growth of the program." After graduating, Knice began teaching at Deer Park High School as a substitute teacher. She also coached the Deer Park Girls Varsity Basketball team during the 2024–25 season. "I'm honored to return to St. Joseph's as the head flag football coach," said Knice. "I'm excited to lead this program and work with our student-athletes as they continue to grow both on and off the field." Knice earned her Bachelor of Arts in History Adolescence Education in May 2023 and her Master of Arts in Special Education in May 2024. She graduated magna cum laude and was named to the Dean's List and Skyline Conference Academic Honor Roll during all four years at St. Joseph's University - Long Island. Print Friendly Version
