The St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) baseball team powered past Maritime, 9-6, on Wednesday evening in game four of the Skyline Conference Tournament.

How It Happened:
- Maritime struck first with an RBI single from Owen Weber in the opening inning, but the Golden Eagles answered in the second when Hackal lined an RBI single to center to plate Johnston and even the score at 1-1.
- St. Joseph's broke the game open in the third inning with three runs on four hits. Amarando drove in Paul McNally with a single before Page followed later in the frame with a two-run single to center, giving the Golden Eagles a 4-1 advantage.
- The Golden Eagles extended the lead in the fifth after Johnston scored on a failed pickoff attempt, and Asaro added an RBI single in the sixth to make it 6-3.
- St. Joseph's added two more runs in the seventh on RBI singles from Thatcher and Amarando before Hackal delivered an RBI double in the eighth to push the lead to 9-3.
- Maritime attempted a late comeback with a three-run eighth inning, highlighted by a two-run double from Joey Goodman, but Ryan Barlow closed the door over the final 1.2 innings to secure the victory.

- St. Joseph's totaled 19 hits in the contest.
