Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

Patchogue, NY| The St. Joseph's College baseball team dropped a pair of Skyline Conference contests to Farmingdale State College at Gregg Alfano Field on Monday evening. SJC suffered a 7-3 loss in game one before a seventh inning rally fell short in a 4-2 loss in game two.

The Golden Eagles slip to 8-11 on the season with a 2-6 Skyline record. The Rams improve to 13-5 overall, 5-1 Skyline.

FSC 7, SJC 3

Trailing 3-0 heading into the bottom of the fourth inning, SJC got back-to-back RBI doubles from Michael Ferrufino and Gehrig Montoro to inch within one, 3-2.

Three innings later, Tyler Sanderson sent a double to the right-center gap scoring Tyler Crafa who walked to lead off the inning.

After a scoreless eighth, the Rams touched up St. Joseph's reliever Anthony Caminiti for four runs on two hits and an SJC defensive miscue to claim the 7-3 win.

Montoro led the Golden Eagles at the plate going 3-for-4 with an RBI.

SJC starter Anthony Papa allowed three runs on seven hits with one strikeout. FSC's Matthew Contstantine earned the win allowing one run on two hits in 4.1 innings of relief.

FSC 4, SJC 2

The Rams took a 4-0 lead into the bottom of the seventh when a bases loaded double to right-center off the bat of Anthony Raucci brought home two runs to cut the deficit in half, 4-2.

Following an FSC pitching change a fielder's choice and a strike out had SJC down to its final out and Rams reliever Ryan Mallon got Crafa swinging earning his second save on the season and securing the 4-2 win.

Jesse Nakashian finished 2-for-4 with a run scored.

Nick Mannarino suffered the loss allowing four runs on five hits with two strikeouts. FSC's Constantine picked up his second win of the day surrendering just two hits with five strikeouts in five scoreless innings.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Tuesday, April 2 when they host John Jay in a non-conference tilt. First pitch is slated for 4:30 pm.
