Alec Tabada tied his career-high for points in a game as the St. Joseph's University (L.I.) men's basketball team earns a 61-50 win over SUNY Old Westbury at the Danzi Center on Saturday afternoon.

- Senior Spencer Malloy reached 1,000 career points with an 11-point performance while adding nine rebounds
- Junior Alec Tabada scored a game-high 28 points to tie his career-high for points in a game, which he also achieved on January 26 of this year at Purchase. He recorded 10 rebounds for a double-double and shot 11-for-15 from the field
- Senior Terrin Roy added nine points on 3-for-8 shooting from beyond the arc with three assists
- Amadi Lee-Kane led Old Westbury with a 19-point performance while adding four assists and four steals
- Jamari Williams contributed 13 points and nine rebounds for the Panthers
How it happened:
- A back-and-forth start to the game saw the Golden Eagles take an 8-6 lead on a three for Roy at the 15:24 mark
- A few minutes later, the Panthers took a lead of three (15-12) on a jumper for Jordan Johnson-Rader with 11:51 on the clock
- SJLI scored the next four points to take a 16-15 lead, with Tabada's dunk at the 10:53 mark providing the lead
- With St. Joseph's ahead by one (20-19) with 9:19 on the clock, Tabada scored five consecutive points to extend the lead to six (25-19) with 6:28 remaining in the half, which was their largest lead of the half
- Old Westbury went on a 10-3 run to take a 29-28 lead on a three-point play for Aiddan Smith with two minutes remaining
- Tabada put SJLI back ahead (30-29) with a basket at the 1:47 mark, which was his 10th straight point scored for the Golden Eagles
- Sophomore Justin Turner hit a three at the one-minute mark before the hosts went into the break with a 33-31 advantage
- There were 11 lead changes in the half, with nine of them taking place in the first 10 minutes of play
- The Panthers tied the game at 33 right away to begin the second half before a three for Roy put SJLI on top 36-33
