The St. Joseph's University (L.I.) softball team drops a non-conference matchup to Muhlenberg on Sunday afternoon. 

Key Players:

• Junior Gabriella Vacchio recorded one hit with two plate appearances, with one run scored
• Junior Mariah Salvatto and freshman Alex LaBarba both totaled one hit and one run batted in 
• Sophia Cicchetti of Muhlenberg finished with three runs scored, one RBI, and two walks
• Muhlenberg's Peri Khan was 2-3 at the plate, to go along with two RBIs and one run scored
• Ava Calabrese of the Mules tallied two hits on three plate appearances, securing one run scored and two runs batted in

How it happened:

• Cicchetti led off for the Mules and scored the first run of the game after being walked, stealing second, and advancing to third and home on a wild pitch
• In the top of the second inning, Samantha Lugo led off for the Golden Eagles, reaching first on a walk, allowing LaBaraba to a sacrifice flyout to center, bringing home Lugo to score
• Muhlenberg kept their scoring streak alive when Khan singled to right field, bringing home one run to score before Skyla Campisi recorded a hit to center field, adding two more runs and taking a 4-1 lead
• Over the next two innings, Muhlenberg was able to add to their lead as the Mules totaled five hits and seven runs scored to take an 11-1 run lead 
• In the top of the fifth inning, Salvatto singled through the left side, allowing Vacchio to come home and score, but it was too late as the Mules secured the 11-2 victory
