How it happened:

• The first quarter saw back-and-forth action as both teams netted three goals before SJLI's Lange broke the tie with her third goal of the quarter with just one minute to play
• St. Joseph's kept their momentum going into the second frame as the offense would score five unanswered in the quarter, totaling a six-to-zero scoring run to take a 9-3 lead into the half
• Mt. St. Mary's would end the scoring drought by finding the back of the net early in the second half to cut the lead to just five
• The Golden Eagles would respond just a minute later with a goal of their own before out-scoring the Knights 5-1 in the quarter
• SJLI held Mt. St. Mary scoreless in the final frame as they added five more goals to their total to secure a 19-4 victory over the Knights
