Game One: SJLI 1, MSMC 7

Key Players:

• Sophomore Jacquline Flannery led the Golden Eagles with one hit and one RBI
• Sophomore Amber Danz posted one hit and one run scored

How it happened:

• After both teams were kept off the scoreboard in the first inning, the Knights collected the first runs of the game in the second inning, securing six runs on four hits, highlighted by a two-RBI triple to center field 
• MSMC added to their lead in the third innings, scoring one run on a single up the middle to take a 7-0 lead
• SJLI scored its first run of the game in the bottom of the third, as Danz led off the inning with a single on a bunt, advancing to second on a fielding error, setting up a Flannery sacrifice fly later in the inning to bring home the one run scored
• Neither team scored for the rest of the game, allowing Mt. St. Mary's to take game one 7-1

Game two: SJLI 1, MSMC 9

Key Players:

• Flannery recorded one hit and one run scored
• Junior Antonia Busa added one RBI
• Julia Ruocchio, Brooke Bove, Emily Fenezia, and Gabriella Vacchio all totaled one hit

How it happened:

• The Knights captured an early lead, scoring two runs on just one hit in the opening inning
• MSMC added to its lead in the following inning on a RBI single to left center to build its lead up to three
• Flannery led off the third inning for St. Joseph's with a single to right field, advancing to second on a groundout and then third on a wild pitch, allowing Busa to drive in the run on a groundout
• Mt. St. Mary's scored three runs in the top of the fourth inning on four hits, highlighted by two separate RBI singles to take control of the game with a 6-1 lead
• The Knights were able to close the game out in the fifth inning scoring another three runs on three hits in the inning, as they kept the Golden Eagles off the scoreboard and secured a 9-1 game two victory and the sweep
