The Golden Eagles took the opener 6-3 before pulling away for an 11-6 victory in the nightcap. The Golden Eagles added two more runs in the seventh on Thatcher's RBI single and an unearned run aided by an Old Westbury error. Old Westbury scored three unearned runs in the bottom of the seventh on errors and a bases-loaded walk, but could not complete the comeback. Paul McNally (W, 3-2) earned the victory, throwing 6.1 strong innings with three strikeouts. Ryan Barlow recorded the final two outs with two strikeouts.
