Top performers:
- Junior Xavier Allen led all players with a career-high 36 points on 13-20 shooting from the field, to go along with nine rebounds, two assists, and two stealsÂ
- Junior Alec Tabada secured a double-double with a career-high 28 points and 10 rebounds, adding one assist and one steal
- Senior Spener Malloy shot a near-perfect 7-8 from the field, totaling 15 points and eight rebounds

How it happened:
- Allen and Tabada led the Golden Eagles early, scoring 18 out of the team's 20 points through the first 10 minutes of play, as a Tabada layup cut the Panthers lead to one
- Malloy provided the next spark for SJLI as the forward would produce eight of the team's next 10 points to help pull ahead by three with 5:26 left in the first half
- St. Joseph's ended the final five minutes of play, outscoring the Panthers 17-11, with Allen and Tabada combining for all 17 points during the run
- In the first minute of the second half, Allen scored a quick four points for the Golden Eagles to take a commanding lead 51-41Â
- The Panthers responded with a 10-1 run over the next two minutes of play as Nimaga scored a quick six points for Purchase to help cut the deficit to just one
- As Tabada ended the Panther's run with a layup, Allen found space for a three, followed by a layup off a Tabada steal to take another lead with 15:46 left (59-51)
- SJLI would look to hold on to their lead until Purchase took their first lead since the first half on a three from Oliver Culliton with 10:57 to go in the game
- Allen answered back with a three of his own that saw the beginning of an SJLI 10-0 run that was ended by a three from Trey SkeeteÂ
- A Tabada three saw St. Joseph's take an eight-point lead with five minutes left
- The Panthers responded by going on a 6-0 run over the next 90 seconds of play to cut the lead to just two
- As SJLI converted three out of four free throw attempts, Malloy would collect an offensive rebound for a put-back layup to take a seven-point lead with just 1:24 to playÂ
- Clutch free throws down the stretch for the Golden Eagles secured the victoryÂ
