• The Gators pulled ahead early, scoring two goals in the first three minutes of play; Owenburg netted SJLI's first goal as the first quarter ended with the Gators holding a 3-1 lead
• Russel Sage kept the momentum rolling in the second quarter as they scored six straight unanswered goals to close the half with a 9-1 advantage
• SJLI ended the Gators' goal streak late in the third quarter as Stubba found the back of the net off the pass from Carere as the third quarter came to a close with the Gators up by 11
• SJLI would find themselves in a man-up opportunity when Stubba collected his second goal of the game with three minutes left in the game
• In the final two minutes of action Russel Sage would score two more times as they secured a 16-3 win
