The St. Joseph's University (L.I.) men's lacrosse team drops third conference game of the season with a loss to Mt. St. Mary's.

Top performers:

Senior Connor Owenburg netted one goal for the Golden Eagles, with two ground balls collected
Junior Nik Allen finished with one goal, two ground balls, and caused one turnover
Larry Frank led the Knights with five goals, two assists, three ground balls, and one caused turnover
MSMC's Joe Keating scored three goals

How it happened:

The Knights pulled ahead early, keeping SJLI off the scoring board for the entire first quarter and building a 4-0 lead heading into the second quarter
St. Joseph's looked to mount a comeback as they scored the first goal of the second quarter just six seconds into action off of a Michael Carere faceoff win who found Allen open to put the Golden Eagles on the board
MSMC would shut out SJLI for the remainder of the quarter as they secured six goals to take a 10-1 lead into the half
Mt. St. Mary's again continued their impressive performance with an additional five goals scored to start the second half as SJLI remained with just one
The Knights added one more goal to their total in the final frame before Owenburg was able to find the back of the net one last time for St. Joseph's as MSMC secured the 16-2 victory

Connor Van Dusen recorded 17 saves on the night for SJLI
